I want a small government too!

A government that doesn't waste trillions of (future) taxpayer money on enduring, pointless wars

A government that doesn't kill it's own citizens through war and capital punishment

A government that doesn't regulate what I can and can't put in / do with my own body

A government that doesn't try to force what they consider to be morals

A government that doesn't try to limit rights and freedoms in the name of security

A government that doesn't spy on it's own citizens and allies

A government that let's it's citizens live how they want without the threat of harassment / discrimination

A government that doesn't take in big money from lobbyist / thrives on corruption

A government that is willing to be fiscally responsible and not have a ridiculous debt / deficit or pay much more for services than other countries

Maybe we can find common ground

She is especially guilty of that one.

Which is a major problem... both of the candidates are beyond corrupt and are probably the 2 worst options America has ever had. I'll probably just vote for Jill Stein.

What is the point? You are accomplishing nothing.

How about you stop pretending the government is legitimate, or that is in any way "by the consent of the governed", and work to do something about it.

do not forget to tell that to the liberal politicians in the USA too. after all, I do not see liberals wanting the country to stop any of those items either.

I have been campaigning for Bernie for that past year, what else I am supposed to do? The system is beyond corrupt yet the average person doesn't know / doesn't care / prefers to listen to the bull$$$$ that spews out of the mouths of Trump and the media.... I vote every election for people I believe are trying to install change in this country, and do they ever win? No. It takes much more than 1 person to get anything accomplished, even in a state like Oregon which is doing a lot better than average.

I think what he's saying is that spending too much time/effort complaining or fighting against our oligarchical Government is legitimizing it on some level, and sucks you into the negative energy/bar aura of those that operate it and gain from it. Building a lifestyle that is detached from our colluded economy and corrupt Government really does seem to be the best way to bring it down.

I've said before that we should not be respecting or even acknowledging these failed representatives nor the media that promotes them and the system-it should be rightfully ridiculed. We still need to be aware, and make others aware-but also working toward building a life where it doesn't matter who is in office or how well the economy is doing.

Btw-I am voting for Jill Stein too, because she is one of the few politicians that is trying to make people aware of what you've outlined in the OP (Sanders too, although not as strongly) but also agree with the above.
