No. A bunch of other nations (that also have food BTW) are far closer and can drop food.

The United States shouldn't help anyone in any way in Iran. I'd rather they all starve to death than to get us involved.

Yeah, well I'm sorry that the truth hurts. But I'm damn sure gonna keep on telling it.

No, actually they DIDN'T.

Before WW2, no one in the Middle East hated us even one bit. We were the most popular western nation in the Middle East by a long shot. The Europeans were who they reserved their hate for...and for damn good reasons.

The question is though why?

I contend it's the sides we backed in the Cold War... And many of those countries were pissed off by ww2 partitions.

Fair point. Consistency is much better than inconsistency.

Note: in the 90s, every single one of our training exercises, the Iranians were 'the enemy'. I always found that quite amusing (except wearing mopp gear in 100 degree heat).

MOPP 4 is bad enough, but doing road marches in it is even worse. We actually won a competition at Bad Tolz Germany by finishing first in a 5 Mile road march at PCT being in MOPP 4.

One of the more stupid ordeals I dealt with in the Army.

I'm sick of all the rationalizing. evil is evil. there is a LONG history of conflicts with this ideology. it didn't start with Israel or WW2

Rationalizing = coming to terms with the fact that evil begets more evil...and the United States did plenty of evil and Americans like yourself are shocked by the blowback.

LMAO...I like how in your mind, evil is only OK when we perpetrate it and inflict it on other nations. To you, they should just lie down and take it.

Really? Did Iran hate us before we meddled in their government in 1952?

Free Iran!
And just WHAT are you personally willing to contribute towards that end?

Your own blood?

The blood of loved ones?

What part of your paycheck?

I'd rather we free America from the asinine notion that we are the world's police force.
