So one of the police officers involved in the Alton Sterling shooting, Officer Robert J. Kinnison is a Trump supporter and member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). Let's acknowledge the big PINK ELEPHANT in the room.

You know what they say about people seeing PINK ELEPHANTS.

Sorry cops apologists, closest racists and clear racists.
Plus, he was detained already and pinned.
No reason at all for it.
Just like when citizens do arrests, they pin the guy or suspect until the cops arrive.
That's all the cops had to do here once they had him pinned is call for backup, if they were that concerned about their safety, they could have pointed the gun in his back, without firing it.
Probably White. Seriously doubt that he's black and that's why those cops did the right thing first by using a taser.
Even though, he could be an Alaska Native, point being is he lived.
So you threaten someone with your gun, someone calls the police, you resist arrest, they pin you down, you try to reach your gun, you are shot. This was completely avoidable but great that the second guessers not dealing with the threat from watching a video know it's easy to take the risk of being shot.
This has absolutely nothing to do with race and everything to do with a stupid person trying to pull his gun on cops...stupid is as stupid does.
From that video, you cannot tell if he reached for a gun. Do you believe the police or an armed felon with a record of assaults(several) and a history of possessing a gun illegally?
Do we believe an armed felon? How can we believe him or disbelieve him? He's dead.
I hate how almost always, outside of Walter Scott, the video is never clear cut, so we'll never really know the truth, 100%.
He may have been flinching and moving because he was being restrained, or he may have been doing it to reach for his gun. We may never know.
I agree, the video doesn't look good, especially considering how his upper body really didn't move at all, so unless his hands were in his pocket, it can make it difficult to believe he was reaching for his gun.
Maybe he was reaching for his gun. But one cop was practically sitting on top of him, the other kneeling directly over him. You're telling me four arms couldn't stop one arm. Heck, they could have shot him in that arm.
Mace him. Stun gun him. Shoot him in the arm.
But I don't see murder as necessary.
And how did they know at the time it was an illegal gun? Would they treat White members of the NRA in exactly the same manner?
