I can't say that I've had your experience. The outpouring of support for the police officers killed has been huge from my liberal friends. Their names were spoken at a BLM gathering I attended yesterday. We said Kaddish for them in my Jewish activist group. And I dispute that BLM should take time off from protesting. What happened was tragic, but it was an act of terrorism perpetrated by ONE person who was not affiliated with the group. More so, he disagreed with the group's peaceful tactics. It was also an attack on them, to hurt them even more in the public's eye. Don't fight the terrorist's battles for him.
My conservative friends, meanwhile, can't be bothered to voice any support or sympathy for either of them men killed by police. Should I judge them and their cause as harshly as you judge the liberals in your life?
Liberal attitudes have caused all of the horrible devastation in this country. If you are black you know there are very few fathers actually in the home bringing up their sons and daughters. Kids need BOTH parents to be engaged in their upbringing, to teach them right and wrong. There are also white parents who are separated and divorced or never married in the first place but with the blacks in our society it is more common to have children be brought up by one parent who often is often still a child themselves. Blacks need to get control of their work etic and stop accepting handouts from the liberal Democrats who wish to keep them down and hold on to their votes by giving out more free stuff to win their vote. Noone ever became successful until they stopped handouts and learned the pride that comes from depending on themselves.
The recent election just underlines how Democrats and the liberal media cover for Clinton because thay want her to win so bad....I applaud all of you who have finally seen the light and are ready to flush the government bureaucracy down the drain and create a country that is fair to all citizens.
I am angry with the Republicans too, who haven't done their jobs and are so against Trump because they know he will get in office and put an end to the corruption and golden parachutes they all enjoy.
the division has been caused by the liberal politicians, they feed off the uneducated and poor....for votes, telling them whatever they want to hear, at the cost of people's lives, instead of telling them, no one is going to change this but yourselves....
they like vultures are feeding off of your crimes...whenever a black person is shot by police, OMG, it's horrible, only to find out that the perp had a rap sheet a mile long, but that doesn't matter. And then the Media, jumps all over it and feeds more over these shootings, however, when someone is shot in a black community, by a black, the media doesn't jump all over that, Why? They want the liberal vote.....

However, BLM never does a damn thing to fix that, do they.....they are shooting up their own communities,m and yet, the only time they care, is when the police do something.....then all hell breaks loose.

I think it is pathetic that the cops were actually trying to protect the protesters (who were protesting cops) when they were shot.....Who are you going to call when no one wants to be a cop anymore? Cops barely make 35k a year....I can't imagine any one of those protesters would put up with the crap cops put up with on a daily basis for that amount of money and the fact that their life is on the line EVERY DAY!!!!
I voted for Kerry in 2004 and for Obama twice. I'm a millennial, I'm educated, and I'm not white. I'm the Dems primary target demographic. I genuinely believed the liberal movement was about making lives better for everyone and coming together, but after Friday it is extremely evident the left does not care about the lives of law enforcement officers, and is just as partisan and divisive as the right, and because of that I will never vote Democrat again.
I have seen very little sympathy for those officers from the "left" and practically none from the black lives matter movement which Obama and Hillary are vehemently supporting. After Paris almost every liberal on my social media networks had Paris flag colors on the profiles and after Orlando they all had post about "we stand with Orlando" and things similar. I have seen hardly any such response for the officers who were slaughtered in Dallas. Black lives matter didn't even take ONE DAY off from protesting for NATIONAL SECURITY reasons, being that their protest require officers to be on the streets and that puts them AND protestors at more risk from other attacks. They could of at least called off protest on Friday and then resumed on Saturday in the face of a national crisis and in a symbolic mourning for the slain officers. At the very LEAST, they could have had some signs in memory for the slain officers during their protest, but there were none. There was almost no mention of the Dallas officers on the Black Lives Matters website.
And MSNBC and CNN's response to this whole situation has been abominable. They have become just like Fox news: completely partisan and reporting with biased opinion instead of objective facts. They have been unsympathetic to the lives lost, have been politicizing the situation, and trying to blame the incident on gun control instead the real issues involved here. I will never watch ANY major news network ever again.
To make things worse, black lives matter and the "left" has had very little response to the horrendous black-on-black violence that is taking place in Chicago. If you live in Chicago you need to be worried about being shot by a black gang banger, not by the cops. The lack of concern over this proves this movement isn't about black lives at all, it's about a war on police, and its about playing politics. #NeverDemocrat #NeverRepublican
While I am glad you woke up, I am appalled at how the left reacts to these tragedies, they use them to further their agendas to take away our rights ( "never let a crisis go to waste " ), and many of the republicans have gave in to the democrats too many times, the republicans have no back bone. As for trump I continue to wonder if he is a clinton plant, even though I am a trump supporter. Even most of the independents are too far left for me, except for a couple.
Cnn, cnbc, msnbc, cbs, abc, fox, and any other liberal news channel I missed are incredibly biased & partisan ( the talk shows are even more insane ), possibly even worse than foxnews ( no I'm not a foxnews watcher ). I'm a big drudge report fan though.

Because they want to make a difference. And our communities ought to be ashamed, what they pay cops is embarrassing. But they give themselves raises.....

The OP began the thread indicating that there were no solutions being proposed to black on black violence and the "left" was not supportive of police officers. Criticizing a small number of police that kill black people and supporting non-violent protests does not equate to non-support for police. There has been attention drawn to black violence but solutions are complicated, let's not make believe that there have not been any protests in these communities. Solutions are another story, how do you raise income, remove segregation and how does a child progress when his parents have a criminal background.
But the most important point you miss is that our elected officials have control over police and that is an area that is deserving of change. A rather large majority of police officers are decent, brave and respectable people, but the other element has been allowed to exist for far too long. If you looked at Ferguson for instance and couldn't see the problems in the government and police department you are blind.
So here we are, the OP want's to vote for the GOP because they have solutions, let's hear them. This problem is complicated, no one has an easy solution but the best road to divide is to criticize people that point out the obvious when it comes to the way police treat black people and call that non-support of police officers.

I truly respect your point of view on the subject. You would not be the only Diehard Democrat that has changed their mind in the past few days, I have heard from a few real diehard Democrats who have now finally had it. It had to come to this, for them to see what some have been trying to tell them, and they now see.
You touched on a number of subjects that ring so true, yet I see no one stopping this violence in Chicago and other areas, not one damn thing to stop it. RARELY even mentioned. Why is that.
Also seems the media and a certain party, prioritize just which news story will become news worthy stories. We will not be able to solve this problem until we look at all aspects of it and why it continues to occur. The protests, the ranting, the screaming, the acts of violence, throwing rocks, stopping vehicles from passing, is no way to get a message across. Your post proves to me, that some still see the truth, no matter how long it took you for what it really is, which is disturbing.
And yes certain people have declared a war on Police, by their words and there attitude which to me stinks. Anyone think they can do this job better, go out and do it.
