Tough on crime has been a code word for "tough on black people" historically. Tough on crime in the 90s basically meant "tough on crack because black people may have it".
I do consider myself a conservative. But many many black conservatives just end up becoming apologist and mouthpieces for the status quo. And there is too much intellectual dishonesty in the status quo in general. This is why I don't really promote black republicans or conservatives in general.
The bottomline is cops do suck. Criminal records do not give cops the right to shoot people. You cannot shoot innocent citizens period. Republicans aren't actually conservative, they're pro government. Most black conservatives aren't capitalist.
Another thing I don't like about black conservatives is the utter lack of solutions. They basically make all of their money "calling black people out". And it's enough to get praise from white people who don't like black people. But I don't hear conservatives actually proposing solutions. Like at all. And if a solutions is proposed it's some abstract crap like "don't commit crimes", "go to college". Like really? My ideas may be very radical but I am coming up with ideas.
And that is probably why many blacks just flock to the democrat platform. Democrats are at least coming up with some sort of plan. It's a terrible terrible plan. But a plan is better than no plan.
This is why as black conservatives we have to get beyond calling black people out. It doesn't work. At the end of the day the image of black thugs impact all black people. And it is for us more successful and politically mature black people to start actually come up with some plans.
