If that is your opinion, then you are far too inexperienced with the "culture" of the majority of conservatives to make any sort of judgement.
That's very possible....but based upon my experience....those are my honest feelings. I have worked in corporate America for 25 years. By far the nastiest people tended to be political conservatives. However, I would rather live by conservatives rather than gang bangers....but not by much.
I've done both, and your humor is more than lost on me. It's insulting and shameful, as well as utter nonsense.

Whites get profiled, too. I shared my experiences of being pulled over in my late teens and early 20s while on my way home from work very late at night. And everything PedroMartinez said is TRUE. LEOs profile a white guy in a nice car in a poor black neighborhood just like they profile a black man in a hoodie in an affluent white neighborhood. They profile a car of teens driving at 3am. They profile a 20-something of any race leaving the club area at 2:15 am.
This one gave me a chuckle. The only time I was ever profiled was when a black Sheriff's Deputy pulled me over for what I knew was the crime of driving in VT with MA license plates. The drug supply in VT mostly comes up from Springfield/Holyoke, MA, Albany, NY, and NYC and he thought maybe he had a dealer when he spotted the MA plates on a country road far from the resort communities. The brief moment he saw me coming around a curve in the opposite direction from him wasn't enough for him to have fully sized me up and known I didn't really fit the drug dealer profile but once he set the process in motion he had to see it through. I had a 2nd home in VT and I was on my way to the dump. He whips around, pulls me over, and wants to know what I'm doing in town today. I tell him I have a 2nd home on such and such road and was going to the dump (pretty obvious given the trash in the back of my truck). He checks my license and registration and wants to know if they're my current address. I say yes, that's my primary address (which was an upscale community, not Springfield/Holyoke), this is a 2nd home that I have here. He then asks what's the house #. I tell him the # and describe the house and location (everyone in town knows my property and that folks from MA owned it), and again that it is a 2nd home. Again he wants to know where I'm headed thinking maybe he's going to get a different answer than the 1st time he asked me. This time I point out what's in the bed of my truck in case he thinks I stole the broken bird bath. I knew before we got to this point that he already knew I was way too old to be a drug dealer, that I really did have a 2nd home here, that my record is spotless, and that if I was an out of State drug dealer it'd of been the 1st one he's come across driving a pickup truck and living where I lived. It is only at that point he saves face by telling me I was driving a bit fast and to slow down. Though I knew I was profiled based on my MA plates I was polite and courteous, and found a bit of humor in the whole thing.
Let me ask YOU a question... Would Black slavery have existed in America if Black Africans hadn't FIRST sold those African Blacks into slavery for profit and gain?
And those Blacks should be condemned for what they started. That does not excuse anyone involved in slavery.
It certainly seems that the THEY would be those commuting crimes. If less black criminals committed crimes, the black community as a whole would be profiled less by police.
Once again - logic.

I suppose if that is the case, there is no point in anyone attempting to be reasonable with you.
Being a cop is such an undesirable and thankless job these days, I doubt communities can afford to make rules excluding ex-military folks from the job. Most police forces are hugely understaffed as it is.
Probably true. So they'd better clean their act up with some training to stop perceiving our own citizens as enemies.

Look....I grew up in the hood.....not really around gang banging but bang banger drug dealing crews that would kill in a second. I grew up with people who turned to stone cold killers for that paper. I did not like that culture of violence...but having known some of the cats since we were little....I was cool with some of them. Some were relatives. As long as I was not in their business flow they were not in mine.
Like I said, I have worked around conservative people a long time. I get along with everyone....but conservatives are some of my least favorite people.
