1 - He was not a French citizen, but only had legal residence; and
2 - He was convicted of assault
I could see him being placed on a plane to Tunisia, where he apparently has citizenship, and have the Tunisian gov't deal with him. Any attempt to send him back to France would be refused.
I admit not knowing anything about French/EU law in this regard. Thoughts?
Muslim immigrants living all across the Western world, even those who are born in the West, are dual-citizens of the Muslim country they or their parents migrated from.
Take the Infidel country's passport, ship 'em home to whichever Islamic hell-hole they or their parents came from.

I didn't say anything about the interest level of the story.
