Yet many states and some governments disagrees with you.

No they don't. There may be laws against realistic replicas, but that doesn't make them an actual firearm. They're toys.

I have a toy Ferrari, but that doesn't mean that I own an actual Ferrari.

Actually they do. I know that is hard for you to get. They are called replica firearms because they look realistic. No one said they were real firearms that fire bullets, that would neglect the term replica. Actually toy guns are given certain things on them like orange tips on the barrel.

Since that's the very definition of a firearm, any attempt to insist that non-functional toys are a firearm is a waste of everyone's time.

The fact that you don't know the difference between a replica firearm(yes called a firearm) and a toy gun made for kids is a waste of everyone's time. It's called a replica firearm for a reason.

Fyi this is real replica firearm. It mostly certainly isn't a toy gun nor is it for kids.

My childhood friend had one that we used to play cops and robbers. It was a game and we used it like the toy that it was.

No, it was an actual, expensive replica of a revolver.
