July 4, 2022 NY Times

Despite our thoughts that Obama would lead the nation, over time most scholars agree that his actions despite a glorious oratory, turned out to be weak and ineffective. Now the ACA has been repealed and single payer has become the law of the land, his most notable failure was his lackluster attempts to halt the advance of terrorism now a reality in all cities of our country. Had he stopped the spread of these monstrous acts including the one from yesterday we would not be in the situation were in.

Cute little fantasy!

Reality:

Jan 20th, 2009

America is in bad shape with two unwinnable and stupidly mismanaged middle east wars and the worst economy in three generations.

July, 2016

As President Obama approaches the end of his second term after two lopsided victories, the nation is once again on a much firmer footing.

Thanks Obama!

Nice little dream.

Millions of hard working people cannot afford their own health care insurance.

Weekly atrocities around the world as the Mullah in the White House talks appeasement.

Deal with it if you are able.

Because health insurance companies are still in control. Thanks GOP!

Single payer = the future

Maybe a few of those are the result of the two stupidly mismanaged middle east quagmires cited above. You could always start a thread critical of Cheney for pushing Dubya into those wars.

Not a problem for me.

BIG problem for Obamaphobes.

You mean now we are involved in 4 wars (Afghanistan, IRaq, Libya, and Syria), we are currently in a recession (as acknowledged by the Feds), and as of Friday, we've moved out of a deflationary period into an inflationary???

With a 2.5 times larger debt?

Obama isn't solely to blame. But he has to take some of the responsibility. Haters will hate, admirers will defend... then there is the reality of data.

Bush started two of those. Obama didn't start the other two.

Really?

Are you referring to this speculative article?

Mild inflation is better for most of us.

Congress does the spending.

And those stupidly mismanaged wars are expensive.

The reality is that America is in MUCH better shape today than it was 8 years ago.

And a president signs or vetoes the budget.

Not that speculative article. Hardly a 'conservative' tilt here:

The next recession is already here

And we were supposed to be completely out of Iraq and Afghanistan yet we just agreed to send additional troops yesterday.

Obama took Bush's mistakes and carried them forward, and made his debt mistakes worse.

Believe that we can continue deficit spending all you like. Bush owns TARP. Obama owns QE2-3.
