Viva Mustafa! Apparently it takes a very strong leader to keep the dogmatic religous Mullahs in check. Sometimes its a dictator and sometimes its the military. Either is better than the Islamists.

Care to explain this as well, Here I'll give you a start !

The military in Turkey is laic so it kinda serves as a good counterbalance for whenever things shift in an extreme way especially regarding Islam. The military still defends the very same principles with which the Democratic Republic of Turkey was founded by Ataturk. Germany has just denied Erdogan asylum and rightly so. His government quickly went against the western way of living and wasn't compatible with large swaths of Turkey

Germany likely encouraged the coup.

How does the president (of the US) loose a election that takes place in another country? Was he on the ballot?

Members of the Brotherhood ran, and were elected, by the people of Egypt.
Those living in the urban areas voted mostly against the brotherhood, those in the rural areas chose the brotherhood.
