Are you a Native American?

If you are not---------- then this thread has no basis.

Charming rhetoric. So, before the Europeans arrived, the land was here, the flora & fauna were here, & there were people here - the Native Peoples - with their cultures, languages, religions, customs, hunting/gathering or raising crops. Three of those cultures - Aztec, Maya, Inca - managed to build observatories, chart the passage of stars & planets, keep records, devise calendars, mathematics to work out orbits & ephemeris, hydraulic engineering, cutting, dressing & fitting stone, architecture, agriculture & so on. We're still studying & translating Maya & Aztec - the Inca writing system barely survived.

& of course, those long-gone botanists cultivated & bred & improved corn, potatoes, chocolate, beans, chiles, & many other useful plants.

So, thank whatever gods you believe in. Those ancient agronomists set the stage for massively successful agriculture in the New World & the Old. They simply weren't practicing anything called American culture @ that point, since the name America for the continent didn't show up until 1507CE.

That is from the poem, "The New Colossus", which was written more than 100 years after the founding of the United States.

It takes an astounding level of ignorance to make this argument. But I wouldn't be surprised if it is the majority view among Americans under 30.

No, you don't want to make that argument. Just like anybody who dislikes immigration, it was okay until your ancestors got in. After that, you're a modern day Know-Nothing - - and the name definitely fits.

Only thing the European culture did was shoot everyone in the back,or make them slaves with chains, so they could rule, well the tide has turned and everybody now has a musket. So we are back to being the land of many, and will remain so. Good luck returning back to the European motherland, they no longer are a one people either. The younger generation is also intermarrying or having children with another cultures or races- so Live with it

Could be interesting if Hillary taps Castro as her running mate and she wins. IIRC, Castro's mother is a co-founder of La Raza.

This is your opinion.

To many it is an accepted norm, but it is really only true of the small number who are descendants from those who migrated from the part of Beringia that is now part of Alaska.

My point is that those who descend from that part of Beringia truly didn't migrate from areas outside current U.S. boundaries, but otherwise those labeled native americans did....just like my ancestors who were part of the Jamestown Settlement, and other ancestors of mine who came over on the Mayflower.

No, I don't. Is it really necessary to explain how ridiculous that line of thinking is?
