Right, because that's exactly what happens when someone is threatened with a knife or baseball bat, or a hammer, the attacker just laughs and punches them in the face anyway. None of them is "designed to kill" but they have all been used by people to kill, more times than 'assault weapons' have been.

No, your ignorant bias has been.

Which brings us back to the fact that a knife, baseball bat or hammer has a completely different design purpose than a gun, which is why there are no laws on owning hammers, knives, or baseball bats.

You wish...

No, it's like saying a cargo truck is to get from point A to B.....oh wait....

I am against any gun ownership, whether legal or illegal. What crimes committed by the general population are you talking about?
It's not an interpretation.

You can be against whatever you want but just don't be a liar.

I had said the purpose of a truck is to transport things from a bot b, not for the truck to get from a to b. Again, a huge difference. There is no point in a truck going from a to b if it doesn't transport stuff.

I don't know statistics on hammer killings, but basically it doesn't matter how many people get hammered to death because hammers have a different purpose they are designed for

By the way, is it allowed to carry those small daggers like in some Arabic countries?

You should know the statistics before you start out with your ignorance.
