People who view socialism as communism which by the way, are very different political ideologies, are illiterate in politics and frankly means they shouldn't even be on the POC forum if they don't know what they are talking about. To google something or look it up in the dictionary does not make you an expert. Socialism is different in every European country. Heck, socialism is also different in the USA.

As countries mature and become more technologically advanced they tend to add socialism to the mixture; this is unavoidable and a sign of progress to a less barbaric society.

Incorrect. Those countries have large portions of their countries supported by capitalism. They are poorly run socialist countries.
Nazi Germany, USSR, China, N Korea, Vietnam etc. were and some still are well run socialist countries. Name one that hasn't murdered millions of their own citizens.
