Uhhh, NO, they are trained to show up and size up the situation, isolate the threat, gain control of the scene. It appears they had already done that. I'm not even a cop, but if I found an intruder in my house and I pull my gun on them and they comply, I'm not going to shoot them.

Seems like a good guy, I hope he gets a fat check and cops goes to jail. Im glad he survived.

No, not at all. If you take the test, something like 40% display no bias or only a slight one either way. That does rule out 60% (at least of the testing sample), but thems the breaks. There needs to be much more selectivity on things that matter like psychological health and deepseated racism, and less on stupid things like having student loan debt (which I recently found out is a disqualifier for the police department).
