Do you think it is likely the death penalty will return to NY?

Why, do you have something planned we should all know about when you come up here?

It should never have stopped for cop killers.

I just saw that both NY and NJ recently eliminated it, but your governor wants it for cop killers and terrorists. You're right, it should never have stopped for those 2 groups.

Why limit it to cop killers and terrorists only? If someone I dearly loved was killed in cold blood, I want the bastard(s) pushing up daisies. So much for "equal" justice.

I agree, but Spitzer is pushing for those 2 only for some reason.

Spitzer knows the ACLU will fight on anything else. Plus, it was beaten down before ( in the 70s, I think) and brought back and quietly dumped again.

We have had several trooper shootings in the state, some police ... how do we let people who do that, out in the open, get away with it? Same w/terrorists... it should be a given. I seriously think with a Dem controlled NY, it won't return and we will keep on paying for the nice little cell, free medical care, meals... etc....
