Both parties have establishment elements. But I feel like in this sense the Democratic party always had stronger favoring towards establishment candidates the gop has. And according to the leak in emails it looks like they put up candidates and pretend that the people have a choice but rig their primary behind the scenes. While the republican candidate can go against the establishment choice sometimes. Like with Donald Trump despite the establishment still not liking him he's still the nominee. I think in part it helps that there is no super delegate count in the gop. Hillary Clinton still has not clinched the nomination with just her pledged delegates. Yet the DNC seems to have ignored that because I guess the people's choice doesn't really matter. It seems overall more choice with the gop as they started their primary with 17 candidates while the democratic party had 3. If Donald Trump is elected president. I wonder if the party will remain the people's party. I mean if that's how to win an election. Democrats seem democratic in name. I mean their chairman rigged their primaries blatantly and obviously favored a candidate. It also seems they didn't have any true outsiders. Bernie sanders was a politician since the 90's. It seems they won't be beholden to the people when our choice didn't really matter either way Hillary was going to be the nominee no matter what. I wonder if the democrats will be against the people's choice while the republican party will become the people party if trump gets elected. Do you think it would?

I think it's also a once in a lifetime chance to get a candidate like Donald Trump who's actually for the American people. And put here because the American people. I find it funny that Hillary Clinton says that one person can't fix it but it's the American people's burden to create change. My next thought is what is what is she running for then? A career boost? This country has too many issues to afford that type of presidency and it's been so long that we have the same type of presidency as she describes it appears.

Both right and left didn't want Trump. There's a reason for that called the end of their gravy train.

And I agree, no matter all the promises from either politician, not one can fix it all. That's why I don't depend on government and hope they'll stay out of my way as much as possible.

Yeah I just never have trusted a politician. Because it's their job and who's to know what the truth is and who just really wants power you know?

I think OP makes a good point. The Democrats are inclined towards the Establishment because Democrats are the party of government. And there is nothing more Establishment than government. As the supposed small government party, we would expect the Republicans to be less Establishment.

Are you referring to Clintons? Clinton's net worth, according to Celebrity Net Worth, is estimated to be $80 million. The Clinton foundation is worth $2 Billion.

being rich actually is a good thing. He did well for himself. Now he's going to do well for us. I want that success for America. I don't want a failure like Hillary to run the country. She failed at secretary of state. Why should she be allowed to failed being president?

And therein lies the problem; the average "captive" Democrat voter can't understand the difference between possession of a large sum of money and control of a vastly greater sum; nor are they likely to recognize that the wealth of powerful individuals and institutions at all points of the political spectrum is represented by equities (common stock, for the most part) which would implode if a serious effort at the Lefties' dream of "redistributing" wealth ever took root.

Both the Clintons and Sanders know and understand this -- they just doesn't have the guts to 'fess up to it.
