This maybe a valid case but recent trend is not good as cops do bad things, victims get paid in millions but those cops don't get any punishment, nor financial hit personally.
We tax payers pay on their behalf.
If there is nothing wrong, why pay the victims/family?
Financial settlement means they did wrong.
>>Oh our on duty cops killed your son for no reason but since they are cops, we can't do anything to them so here, take $$$$$ and leave us. Go spend away and enjoy life at the cost of your son. Oh btw, this $$$$$ has some of your own tax in it.

Because if they pay off, they hope it will stop the thugs from rioting.

Yes I do hate cops doing bad things but I don't hate cops in general.
I would like to see good cops sending these bad apples off the force instead of "all men behind uniform are our brothers whether good or bad", remove those bad ones.
Cleansing time.
And who is going to decide who's good and who's bad? You?
A court made a decision, one that "some" don't like and that's fine, that's your right.

Your complaint though should be/is with the bozo's that filed the case to begin with as they BOTCHED any chance of even the smallest of convictions with their own behavior both prior to and during the trials.

Yeah, probably those that tried to convict them with an incredibly weak case.

The BPD had a well-known policy of allowing officers the discretion to determine whether or not a detained person being transported would be belted for the ride depending on the detainee's cooperation.

Let me dumb that down for you: detainees acting like fools who can't be trusted to not assault the officer placing them in the transport vehicle don't get buckled up for the officer's own protection. Prosecutors were unable, due to this policy, to prove willful negligence on the officer's part.

That is a lame excuse for dropping charges against somone in a murder case. Also why did they drive the van the way they did with somone in the back? For officer's own protection? Why didn't they drive him directly to the destination?

What's interesting about "the ride" was that it was filmed during the entire time by City CCTV. No rough ride was evident. And he was taken directly to central booking.

Mosby is typical of the Black person promoted by affirmative action who is under qualified, over promoted and not that bright.
