But really, here's the thing gun owners have to be a part of the conversation to figure out how to make things safer for the average citizen.

And, BTW, a majority of Democrats are also gun owners. We do not want an out and out ban on guns. That is NRA BS. We want sensible gun laws that will keep children from shooting each other, and prevent domestic disputes from leading to dead parents, and dead children. We want responsible gun owners who are trained and capable of being useful when needed.
Y'all don't realize that democrats have guns, because we Democrats don't parade about exposing our guns to the general public.

Neither do we... that would be called brandishing and is against the law. Just saying.

"We want sensible gun laws"
What a farce this statement is.

A simple and highly effective gun law like "an add-on mandatory 10-20 years of sentence without parole for anybody and their accomplices who commit any felony with any arm" would virtually eliminate all gun crimes without infringe upon anybody's right.

I do want to see that we revise our prison system:
1. Each convict must serve at least 3/4 of the time before being eligible for parole.
2. All criminal records should be barred from the public.
3. Add a "gun test" before release any convict - if we don't trust them with guns, don't release them. Same goes with mental patients.
4. Improve background check violation prosecution rate to 90%

Yeah, I know. "Sensible" is a tough concept for some people.

Did my sarcasm not come out right? :-)

In the Democrat's mind, as long as we can have a single shot musket that takes 5 min to load but still need us to pay $200, registration and firearm purchase license to buy, they aren't banning guns, and they are in support of 2A. I did mention that airsoft is not banned right?

Because once a convict serves the time, he would have paid the debt. Why make them carry the debt forever? If you don't feel that they have paid the debt, keep them in prison longer then. This is one huge reason our recidivism rate is so high as ex-convicts can't find any jobs - almost every employer does background checks.

Is this sensible enough for you?

Now we are getting somewhere ! I would also like to add , no more plea bargains for firearms related crimes. Also repeat offenders get life.

1. Each convict must serve at least 3/4 of the time before being eligible for parole.
If it's firearms related full time must be served.

2. All criminal records should be barred from the public.
Nope, full transparency of criminal records

3. Add a "gun test" before release any convict - if we don't trust them with guns, don't release them. Same goes with mental patients.
Once a convicted felon (firearms related), you lose your 2A rights.
Mental patients that have known issues (bi polar, manic, schizophrenia, etc) lose their 2A rights. Also HIPPA laws need to be lifted so that these diagnoses can be shared with the NICS system.

4. Improve background check violation prosecution rate to 90%

Owning a gun is above the law?

LOL.
