You need funding to enforce the law on books first of all. Most importantly, you need the will. Republican or Democrat, doesn't seem to matter. But by all means, delude yourself otherwise.

Really not sure what you expect Mexico to do when it's neighbor is the world's largest economy (better jobs) and is the world's biggest illegal drug market.

Secret Service has no authority to arrest illegal aliens.

The first mom recieved deportation papers and has an opportunity to appeal.

The second is classified as a " dreamer" one who was born elsewhere and was brought to the US as a child. For now, she's legal.

Given both these women were on TV their dilema is hardly being buried.

As an aside, prior to the RNC Trump began walking back his promise to deport 12 million illegal aliens. He referred to Obama as the Deporter Chief and made clear he was compassionate and has a big heart.

Trump has been consistent he intends to make it easier for Mexicans to legally work in the US.

ICE employs 20,000 people in more than 400 domestic and international offices. Not all are agents.
There are 12 million +/ illegal ailiens in the US. Congress controls the purse strings.

There have been and remain hundreds of sanctuary cities throughout the US for decades. Florida is unique in that it has multiple sanctuary counties.

Illegal immigration became a tidal wave in the 80's. 30 years of doing nothing is no accident. Has not mattered who sat the oval or held the majority. Bush 2 campaigned twice on the promise of immigration reform and amnesty. Congress would not play ball. Instead, they kicked the can.

It's conceivable we'll be talking about the can, 4 years from now, regardless of which nominee is elected.

The Secret Service has nothing to do with immigration. They have zero authority. Why would they arrest someone for an immigration violation?

That makes about as much sense as asking "Why don't the immigrants arrest the Secret Service"?

We've only had three committees so far, finding nothing, and it's only wasted around $10 million in taxpayer money, but what the hell. I'm sure, after 25 years of hounding the Clintons, and finding absolutely nothing, this zillionth waste of an investigation will turn up something...

Philly is a sanctuary city. If she committed a violent crime, local law enforcement wouldn't turn her over to ICE anyway.

If the first woman received deportation papers then she is still deportable at this time. A Dreamer is still not here legally they have merely been given a stay of deportation. No, the Secret Service can't arrest them but the point is that the Democrats openly flaunted our immigration laws by inviting these illegals to speak at their convention. Another point is that no other president besides Obama gave millions of illegals a stay of deportation by EO and without congress' approval. I'd rather congress kick the can down the road than to agree to another amnesty. It isn't a solution and in fact encourages the problem to grow.
