Yup, a whole lot to respect. The German people loved Hitler, too.
The Hitler comment is uncalled for, and is getting old.

Did he not have a high approval rating? After all, you are basing your respect of a dictator partially on his ability to squelch dissent and discourse in the media, so it seems apt to compare Putin to another who was wildly popular in his time.

I admire Putin, a real leader.
I think this is dangerous and we should question all in politics including Trump and Putin. I am supporting Trump, but I have listened to Savage off and on for the last year and I even questioned his support for Putin. Then when people post stuff about Alex Jones who I don't follow I started putting the two together. Savage supports Trump and now Putin supports Trump.....I am questioning everything now.

If Trumps keeps his promises this will be good, but if he ignores the real plans of Russia, I am very concerned.

There is a saying........ the Hordes from the North and the bear.

You need to google

Godwin's law Really a waste of time to compare him to Hitler, in my opinion.

In term of Putin, Positive things that happened in Russia, such as post-2000 economic development and the wealth brought by high oil prices, are attributed to Putin personally.

during Putin times the life become MUCH better. Some people say that Russia has never lived better than in the last 10 years. Putin is the right leader for the right time, in the right nation. He was the man to have pulled a chaotic Russia away from the brink of collapse and towards a booming economy, developed industrialization and a stance respectable by more advanced nations. He tackled Russia's struggle with external debt, and rather than owing money, they lend it out to countries in need.

I think he is a patriot, and is loyal to Russian people. Is he perfect? no, not even close. But he is certainly better than a lot of other Russian leaders in the past.

Personally, I'd rather have Russia as friend, not enemy. Certainly don't see the point to view Putin or Russian as potential threat.

Putin is a the right guy for Russia. has nothing to do with the U.S.

Nothing dangerous about him FOR RUSSIAN PEOPLE.

In term of Trump, I don't trust him, although I agree with him on one thing or two.

Which is why I am voting for Gary Johnson, a safe bet. Can't win, but that is my vote.

Really?

Can you elucidate your opinion without sliding into antisemitism?

Trump claims not to have business interests in Russia. However, it's been claimed that Russian financial oligarchs who live under Putin's thumb have business interests in Trump's various business endeavors.

Makes no sense to me. What would be wrong with the #1 and #2 superpower allying together? Why is it a bad thing that our next President is warm towards Putin?

Putin isn't and has never 'reached out to befriend the United States'. He is not looking for an ally; he wants Russia to be the super power - PERIOD.

He doesn't 'like' Trump; he thinks Trump is easily manipulated. Trump would be Putin's useful idiot.

Russia does not have free press. Journalists who are critical of Putin and his regime end up jailed, exiled, or worse. It's difficult to say what people think because they only see and hear a positive view of Putin unless they are specifically risking their livelihoods and lives to seek out further information and dissent.

Talk to a Russian about it sometime.
I seriously do not understand this admiration of Putin. We saw it from conservatives earlier - when the picture circulated of a shirtless Putin and we saw many comments of a 'real man, etc'.

Journalists who are critical of Putin end up dead.

That Trump thinks he and Putin will be 'best buds' makes me laugh. It also makes Putin laugh; i'm pretty sure.

Yet, Trump himself said in earlier interviews that he does a lot of business with Russia and that he had a personal relationship with Putin.

Which is true?

It's not necessarily that I think Trump would intentionally help Putin; it's that I think Putin would intentionally use Trump.
