Up to 26.3% ($815.3 million in FY2014) of U.S. FMF to Israel may be used for procurement from Israeli defense companies

i.e. 74% is required to be purchased from the USA.

Having worked on complementary US/Israel defense programs for 15 years I can say the relationship has been extremely benificial to us.

Look up your history Israel came in existence in 1948. The US started giving funds to Israel in 1980. 32 years apart, thus one has nothing to do with the other.

Well, Netanyahu is really pushing for a deal to be done ASAP because he figured that he's not going to get a better deal later than now. Even though he's had problems with Obama - he isn't likely to get a better deal with Trump, whose public statements suggest that he would scale back, if not abrogate, bilateral and multilateral agreements with other countries, including Israel.

Bibi has also figured out that if Clinton is in office next year, she isn't going to reward him for blowing off Obama.

And when the $5 Billion comes through it jumps to 100% per Obama's current offer.

That's bull. Worse reason i've ever heard.

The United States existed long before there was an Israel. We won two world wars handily and became the most powerful country on Earth....all BEFORE 1948.

So please, gimme a break.
And the US had to pay for the trophy it received.

Can you imagine what Harris county would be like if it was surrounded on three sides by armed drug cartels bent on your destruction?

Don't they have some kind of national healthcare in Israel? How many kids are low income? How many kids speak the language?
The poverty level of Israel is ~21% compared to the US ~14% and you're comparing a country to a city. ALL Israelis pay a premium out of their paychecks in order for everyone to have health insurance. As to speaking the language, nearly 100%. Not like cities like Houston who pays for Spanish translators and multi-language signs in multiple locations. Yet you don't see a problem that Hispanics aren't required to learn English.

Pakistan gets 280 million in military aid from the US and that country is literally "terrorists 'r' us", yet everyone complains about the only democracy in the middle east getting military aid, nice.

You forgot the other $933 million they get for economic aid that requires no accountability.
