Obama commutes sentences for 214 federal prisoners | Fox News

...all supposedly "non-violent" offenders, although as someone aware during the 1990's, I don't recall crack dealers being considered non-violent.

Here's but one example:

Complete list of 214 federal prisoners granted commutation by Pres. Obama | New York's PIX11 / WPIX-TV

Asher Adkins – Columbia City, IN
Offense: Distribution of methamphetamine and aiding and abetting (two counts); distribution of methamphetamine (three counts); use or carrying a firearm during a drug trafficking crime (two counts); distribution of more than 100 grams of methamphetamine (two counts); Northern District of Indiana

I thought guns were bad?

Sure they can wake up Election Day go down to the polling place and hand in a letter with the address of their neighbor sign a silly piece of paper and vote. All because voter ID laws are discriminatory.

This is the joke this Nation has become.

Bill put these criminals in when he hired all those cops. Don't think Hillary is on board with the cops as bill was.

We should start taking bets on what the a**wipe in chief will do to create damage next.

And after that, and after that, all the way until the morning of January 20th 2017.

Blatant and willful destruction of the nation, and it's laws. Where is the justice?

And a good chance of four more years of this carp with the greased pig at the helm.

All these small government conservatives, so against taxes, want to send these people back to prison for possessing an item the government (which is evil) doesn't want you to have and selling it without paying taxes on it. Irony.

That said, I do hope Obama had someone look at these cases carefully. Plenty of plea deals would show publicly that a person is non-violent, but that doesn't mean that they aren't. Charges can be dropped for the wrong reasons sometimes. Granted, few murderers and rapists ever get this lucky. At worst, some of these people might be thieves. Regardless, our criminal justice system is, for lack of a better term, ****. At this point, anything that involved doing something about it that isn't just business as usual is at least better than what we normally get.
