Worst "recovery" since 1949. Nothing to brag about.
Context is everything. As someone else said, relative to the world America has recovered. The percentage of America as world GDP has been decreasing for several decades as the world has woken up.
For what? For years you people have been whining and moaning about how the evil nasty GOP has been blocking everything Obama has been trying to do.
Maybe you should be grateful that it only took 6 years of a Republican Congress to correct the screwed up economy the Democrats created with 4 years of control.
Or.... The economy would be doing better if the republicans weren't block spending when we needed it the most.
Isn't Trump saying we need to spend more on infrastructure and raising the minimum wage? Seems republicans wasted time.
It's like clockwork every four years..... Every election year gas prices and mortgage interest rates are always at their lowest. The government does this so people will come at and vote.

There are endless " old politician" tales, including a strong stock market performance favors the sitting president's party and a lousy performance favors the opposing party.
Sometimes it works out that way and sometimes not.
You do realize don't you that Republicans control the House, Senate, and virtually every state...so thanks to Republicans for 90% of what you're thankful for.
Personally for me, I would rather my 401K be a few hundred thou less and that we had racial harmony, less income inequality, national harmony, less security risk to our cops and from Jihadists, less student loan debt, and NO NATIONAL DEBT....thanks for nothing Obama.
