You are on the losing team, pal.
Farmers and HVAC company owners bust their asses for decades to build their businesses and pay the taxes on their income.
Then they die and now the Government gets their money? Not the heirs? Hundreds of working farms are sold off every year just to pay the inheritance tax, and the farmers family is out of business.
Stupid people vote for lawmakers that enacted this double taxation.
OP is an example.

Thats just a ridiculous argument. A family who is involved in a car accident, whole family is killed, child gets disabled, mother dies while giving birth. It doesnt matter, this child, through no fault of their own, is forced to live in extreme poverty, while some rich kid gets billions in tax free inheritance. Simply because the billionaire parents had donated heavily to your politician, while the parents of the child involved in a car accident was a working class family like yourself. This is not what America should be about. This is plutocracy.

Marxists abound.

Oh, please. There is no reason why we cant have a system that protect family farms. Its not FAMILY FARMS we are talking about here. Its the obscenity of people like Trump and Sheldon Adelson giving tens of billions of dollars tax free to their offspring. They should get a job like the rest of us. "double taxation" is a knucklehead argument. You pay double all the time.

Farms are businesses and should be set up as corporations that survive member's deaths.

What's fair about charging the same premium for insurance when I ride a bike and you drive a Mercedes? One of da guberments main functions is property rights. If one has 5 million in property they have a lot more to protect than someone with 100k? Its kind of why some people might want to change insurance companies ....aka stage a coup..

Why the H should the government get any more of someones hard earned dollars simply because they died and left it to loved ones?

Exactly. Why should someone who is left money that was earned(AND ALREADY BEEN TAXED!) have to pay taxes again.

As it is when someone dies you still have to file taxes for them. Also if they get Social Security you have to pay back the money even if they pass late in the month. My mother passed on July 30, 2012, we were told the July SS check must be paid back, seriously? Yes, the person has to live right up to the last day of the month, otherwise you have to pay it back.

There are parts of the US where $600 a month has more buying power than others. Places like Erie, PA or Detroit, MI. And if that disabled person has a functioning brain, they should be able to work from home via the internet. Anyway, our government budget has a lot of fat in the system that should be trimmed. And all the help programs should be scrutinized. Living off the government dole is a way of life for some families and that should be stopped. If a parent is on a Section 8 voucher, then their children when adults should be ineligible for the program. The same goes for welfare and food stamps.

WTH? The people who inherit the money have NEVER paid any taxes on that inheritance income. Its absurd that someone getting $5 billion tax free, while you and me must pay 30% tax (income, sales, fees etc) on what we earn. Why do you support the donor class who laugh in your face? They dont care about you. They simply buy your politician and get favors in return (like this elimination of the inheritance tax). The end result is of course that you will pay more in road tolls as public spending on roads are slashed to make up for the shortfall.

$600 a month is extreme poverty no matter where in the US you live. The disabled person got brain damage as a result of the accident so cant work. Its impossible. You would sing another tune if you needed help, thats for sure.
