Paris canceled its Summer Streets on the Champs-Elysées.

Paris might cancel its 2 decade old Techno Parade.

In Lille, an 800 year old annual cultural flea market with over 10,000 vendors and 2,000,000 shoppers was canceled.

Many other smaller events across France have been canceled as well.

Tourism in Paris is down since the terrorist attacks in November.

Paris is surrendering its streets to terror | New York Post

What is the wise move here? It seems like by canceling all of these events they are hurting their culture and their economy a bit. Nobody wants to make the decision to have the event and then have a terrorist attack, but at some point you need to live and give people the option to attend events knowing the risk of radical Islamic terrorists.

Every cause has a price tag. Too bad they didn't do their homework about world events, cultures before opening their borders. All their "hippie kumbaya" attitude resulted in crashed economy that may never recovery. When you are used to free handouts, you stop thinking about your future & start depending heavily on your govt to make the decisions for you until you get a rude wake up call & your nightmare begins. There needs to be a balance between liberal & conservative ideas. One extreme results in authoritarian govt & the other naive open border approach leads to invasion of your freedom & culture.

No thanks but I would rather stay home than risk going to Eurabia. People go to vacation to escape from stress, not to constantly look over their shoulders because there are armed soldiers on the beach & popular tourist spots.
