Its rather interesting. There were multiple waves of people of different Haplogroups that came over at different times. They are related to people of various parts of Asia and elsewhere. The X haplogroup exists in some groups in Eastern North America, Southern Europe and North Africa.
They look similar to Mongolians and native people from Siberia.
I think so...I worked in Mongolia for 14 months and it seems like the look and culture have similarities too strong to ignore. Mongolians have gers instead of teepees, nomadic, respect for nature and animals and seems to like similar colors and styles.
The attached is a good representation of how the flow of humans came to north American. Not all of the waves that came into the Americas were the same (there are five separate haplogroups found in the indigenous peoples of the Americas). The C group is mostly Eastern and Northern Asia but as far away as Eastern Europe. The Q group originates from as far away as Northern Iran.
The X haplogroup is probably the most interesting. Druze from the Middle east are actually related to some of the people from North American.
"The greatest frequency of haplogroup X is observed in the Druze, a minority population in Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria,"
"Haplogroup X is also one of the five haplogroups found in the indigenous peoples of the Americas"
