Journalism as we knew it back in the days is dead.
Maybe there are a few left but overall you can't call them journalists.
They should be called something like biased opinion spewing hosts!
There is not even much informative about what comes out of their mouth as usually they edit a story to what they want you to hear and not the full story!
Maybe if you watch a lot of different channels you are able to weed things out but for the ones who watch one channel they will only be brainwashed which is actually what they want to accomplish!
Unfortunately for these opinion hosts and their so called news channel there are less viewers.
"Hosts", generally are not journalists, Megyn Kelly, Rachael Maddow, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity are not journalists but that's where people go for news, newspaper circulation is down and that's a problem.
Too many people getting information from bloggers and websites that have nothing to do with journalism yet the take it as a fact. PBS does a very good job as do some other networks.

I think the issue is that Americans want entertainment, not news. The networks, who depend on viewership to generate revenue via Ads--are listening to what, WE, as a whole, are telling them we want.
The print media was always the 'serious' medium--but since print media is all but dead--one can ether pick a team and cheer-lead from the sidelines, or spend hours chasing facts..and subjecting what you come up with to rigorous analysis.

PBS is terrible these days. The Nation, The Intercept and Bill Moyers are some of the few good ones left.

Not one CNN host mentioned by you. Clearly a biased post.
