Funny thing, how come my guns don't kill anybody? They are sitting all by themselves in a dark, cold safe and never ask to be let out. Where do you buys guns that kill?

I wasn't aware that we had invented sentient weapons capable of independent movement and malicious intent.

There's 300+million guns. There's around 30,000 gun deaths but 60% of those are suicides. There's about 800 accidents. So around 11,000 actual murders, but a large percentage of these are "misdimeanor murders" (gang banger/drug murders). So essentially there are a few thousand legit murders each year.

So it's .00001% compared to the amount of guns.

But still people have been killing others since the beginning of man. It won't stop if guns are taken away.


And by the way, AMERICANS WILL NEVER GIVE UP THEIR GUNS. EVER.

Law-abiding Americans need to have gun rights in order to protect themselves from those that would be criminal enough to keep guns regardless of any laws.

That number would be much higher if the general population were disarmed

No more laws are gonna stop the 40-50 people who get shot in Chicago every weekend.

This weekend someone was shot there every 33 minutes. No law abiding citizen did any of them.

Americans murder each other at a rate that is fifty one times that of Canadians.

To me that is an astounding number. Even if you factor in the population difference, ( Canada has a population of 36 million ) its still crazy.
