Powell received 2 emails that were classified, there is no indication as to what level but he has said it was mundane stuff that may have been "upclassified" such as the thousands of Clinton emails.
Clinton on the other hand sent or received 110 emails that were classified at the time they were sent and received including material classified as TOP SECRET/SAP.
For example, seven e-mail chains concern matters that were classified at the Top Secret/Special Access Program level when they were sent and received. These chains involved Secretary Clinton both sending e-mails about those matters and receiving e-mails from others about the same matters. There is evidence to support a conclusion that any reasonable person in Secretary Clinton’s position, or in the position of those government employees with whom she was corresponding about these matters, should have known that an unclassified system was no place for that conversation. In addition to this highly sensitive information, we also found information that was properly classified as Secret by the U.S. Intelligence Community at the time it was discussed on e-mail (that is, excluding the later “up-classified” e-mails).
Neither should have been using anything but a government email account but trying to compare what Powell did to Clinton is a joke.
It's not a "joke" - it was an attempted Cover-Up for Clinton's Private Server & failure to follow her OATH.
The State Department crawled back over a Decade to find 2 emails SENT to Secretary Powell and up-grade them to "confidential". That's Corruption & the US State Department is loaded with it.
They expect the American public to vilify Powell as some sort of equivalence to Hillary Clinton's Secret Server Scandal ..... to give her a 'pass'. That's more than Disgusting. Powell is correct to finally fight back against these low-lifes.
On October 26, Czech Republic Interior Minister Stanislav Gross responded by calling a press conference at which he "confirms" that Atta "did make contact with an officer of the Iraqi intelligence" in Prague, namely al-Ani, who was later expelled from the country.[7]
In the meantime we have the right trying desperately to make a strawman out of a few mislabeled emails by Hillary Clinton.
I know you desperately want her extreme carelessness limited to Only those three emails. You can then ignore the other ways she played fast and loose with U.S. security, such as using her personal email in territory of sophisticated, hostile adversaries. The FBI found multiple instances of her 'carelessness,' but hey, you'll stick to those three emails as the be all and end all of her putting personal convenience above national security.
There was three that were marked but part of Clinton and her staff's job is identify, classify and use the classified system for these communications. Either she and her staff are complete morons that can't identify classified material or they did it for their own reasons. Some of this material was TOP Secret/SAP s oit's not like it's mundane every day communications they were discussing.
Quote:
the others you mentioned were not marked as classified when received.
From the group of 30,000 e-mails returned to the State Department, 110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains have been determined by the owning agency to contain classified information at the time they were sent or received. Eight of those chains contained information that was Top Secret at the time they were sent; 36 chains contained Secret information at the time; and eight contained Confidential information, which is the lowest level of classification. Separate from those, about 2,000 additional e-mails were “up-classified” to make them Confidential; the information in those had not been classified at the time the e-mails were sent.
