wrong.. best way to increase welfare is to decrease the number of jobs in an area and then boost the welfare benefits.
you know, Democratic policies, like welfare stimulates economies
Yes single teenage minority women with children tend to perform well in life as do their children, best to close women's health clinics that provide education, health care and contraception and add to the scrolls.
The right wing has engaged in a multi-decade war against minorities, selectively arresting, prosecuting, and sentencing minority males.
I hate it o break this to you, but the inner cities where these problems are the greatest have been run by liberal democrats for decades. Their mayors, city councils, district attorney's and police chiefs are Democrats. Many times they are in states run by Democrats.
It's so ironic how liberals wage war on the poor and minorities while blaming conservatives. It's even crazier that the victims believe it.
TX passed legislation that effectively shut down planned parenthood and other clinics that provided abortion services. Funding wasn't quite the issue, the issue was that TX legislation created absurd standards, not related to care, that the clinics couldn't meet.
Ah yes, the "if they didn't want to die from pregnancy they shouldn't have had a sex life" argument, a true right wing classic.
It's not just about getting an abortion. It's about getting access to birth control, getting access to pre-natal care, etc.
For some reason right wing nuts think that making it harder to engage in proper family planning and harder for pregnant women to get healthcare constitutes a pro-life position.
" right wing nuts"
Sorry my mistake. I thought posters on here were adults and knew how to hold decent conversations.
Not a bunch of kids who can only resort to silly juvenile name calling.
Heaven forbid ANYBODY have different opinion then yours.

We are speaking to Texas specifically, maybe you should start a new thread.
There were 300,000 unintended pregnancies in Texas in 2010, who in their right mind would think it's a good idea to close these clinics. Poor women are affected more than any other demographic.
So was this a smart move?
Quote:
If current trends continue, more than half of all women in the United States will experience an unintended pregnancy by the time they reach age 45. And economically disadvantaged women are disproportionately affected by unintended pregnancy and its consequences: In 2011, the unintended pregnancy rate among women with incomes lower than the federal poverty level, at 112 per 1,000, was more than five times as high as the rate among women with incomes greater than 200% of poverty (20 per 1,000).
Sadly, political "leadership" in Texas has devolved terribly over the past 20 years. We've had three governors, each orders of magnitude dumber than his predecessor.
Dubya: dumb
Perry: dumber
Abbot (current): embarrassingly stupid
And yet, taxes for us "little people" just keep climbing while services and roads continue to deteriorate.
We may not be Kansas bad yet, but that's where we're headed.
I wouldn't complain too much.
You could have lived in Illinois with all these DEMS.
" Six Illinois governors have been charged with crimes during or after their governorships
Otto Kerner, Jr. (D) received three years in prison and a $50,000 fine.
Daniel Walker (D) sentenced to seven years in prison.
Thats a ridiculous assumption given that would mean there are 1000 welfare recipients per every taxpayer.
What you fail to comprehend, is you're also aborting taxpayers and future successful individuals.
Could you have imagined if Bill Gates was aborted.
Or Michael brown or Trevon Martin.
I'll take my chances.
