I'm certainly no patriot, and the flag means almost nothing to me. But this is still the United States, and there are a lot of people here to whom it does mean something. I will never fly the flag, or even adhere to commonly accepted flag etiquette, but I am completely opposed to this epidemic of flag restrictions. What is the point of this? I take no pride in the United States, but many Americans do, and since this is the United States, let them fly their damned flags. Enough of this hysterical PC nonsense.

Not sure what the fuse is about here.

I remember when people attacked President Obama for wearing a flag pin because technically flag code doesnt allow it.

Some(not all) were fine when the Baldwin County Commissioner decided he wasnt going to lower the flag half mass because it wasnt a national tragedy in his mind and therefore didnt fit the flag code definition.

Seems to me this case is in the same realm on the surface.

Never heard that about the flag and Obama. I heard him criticized for not wearing a flag and several times because he did not display the flag at a speech.

LOL, there is a pledge as well that goes with it.

I've never attended a church with this flag or a pledge, and I'll be happy to keep it that way.

We keep hearing about this more and more. That coach could have said "No flag? No game!" That would have been the proper response.

If people aren't willing to stand up and fight for our flag, the flag will slowly disappear... and be turned into a symbol of shame for the next generation.

Fly your flag proudly. I think I'll pick up a small one and tape it to my car's antenna too. We already have one flying on our home.

According to the link:

Improper, taunting, unsportsmanlike manner

compromised the safety of all in attendance.

What the heck were some of these kids doing with the flags?

Here is an article. Apparently they were use the flat to taunt another team (with Hispanics). Apparently, that has previously caused confrontations.

TR principal says American flag has been used to 'taunt' Berea students

Could you imagine the outrage if we replaced the opening sentence to the following:

Quote:
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. (WSPA) – The principal of Travelers Rest High School released a statement Saturday afternoon after complaints on social media after a students were not allowed to bring Syrian flags to a football game Friday nigh
