I was always under the impression that someone who wants to be President of the United States would be held to the highest standard, at least during the vetting process of the primaries. How did this happen?

You beat me to it. As I have posted before. 20 years ago Hillary wouldn't even be a consideration with all the baggage she carries. Nor would Trump for that matter.

Remember, Bill Clinton did things to an unpaid intern in the Oval office, did a dance, lied, was impeached, but his ass was never tossed out of office. Whitewater, dead White House advisers in parks etc..... He should have been kicked to the curb, and now his wife has taken his place and should have been indicted. Apparently this smelly pair are very powerful for some damn reason. Something is going on in which Americans are not privy to.................yet.
