Most Syrian refugees coming to U.S. are women, children

Contrary to what many have said, the vetting process is extremely rigorous and time-comsuming.

Of the 4 million Syrian refugees, the U.S. has only approved 10,000, to date. Not exactly teeming hordes.
Do any of you really believe what "our government" tells us?

I'm from the Government and I am here to help you

The reason they decided to send mostly women and children in this initial wave was so that cheerleaders like you would have this to point to and say "see, nothing to worry about.".

The people of Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Austria and every other country betrayed by it's leaders were told their vetting process was extremely rigorous as well.

The 10,000 immigrants, if it was just that amount (which it won't be), and mostly women and children (which it won't be), would be one thing, but you'd have to be an idiot to think this is anything other than a convenient selling point for NeoProgs. It's really very simple. Just look at Europe, that's the plan. We're just five years behind them.

Hope the millenial women and girls are ready to cover up so they don't get raped. Or they can just stay home for the rest of their lives.

If most of them are women and children what does that mean?

Can you say more children, requests and then demands their men come too because after all, can't have separated families now can we?

This Jewish family is hosting a Syrian Muslim refugee in their Berlin home | Public Radio International
It's great that the Jewish family in Germany did that! Once again, though - different countries, different laws. It is not legally possible for individuals in the US to sponsor a Syrian family directly, only charities can do that. And none of the charities that I am aware of will place a Syrian family in an American family's home. We do what we can within the laws of our country.

There is one male head of the family who has a wife and multiple children, some have multiple wives, even though that is not permitted in Europe. They don't just have one or two children, they have many. So I can imagine that it is mostly women and children coming in. But the OP doesn't put it quite that way.

To make his 10K goal, Obama cut the screening process to three months to handle the surge.

U.S. cuts Syrian refugee screening time in order to handle surge - Washington Times

Obama has called upon businesses to partner with him to employ, enable and educate refugees, which means to employ them, support them financially and help them find access to resources and ensure their education. Now this would be in addition to bringing in the 10K refugees he has already brought in and was implemented to increase the 10K cap. This assistance would not include employment, enablement and education for the lower income or unemployed American citizens--only refugees.

Partnership for Refugees

Clinton has promised to bring in 1 million additional refugees during her first term.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histor..._Jews_in_Syria

I had a friend whose family fled Syria and came to this country during the early 50's. They fled Syria for religious reasons. They were Jewish. You can read in the link above how Jewish Syrians were being treated back then. Do you really think that all refugees are Muslim, or for that matter, are Muslims who want to attack this country? Yes, this family kept their heritage; their Jewish heritage which trumped the country they were from.

I worked with another woman whose family fled Pakistan. They were Christians. Again, religion. The woman's Dad wanted his daughters to have the same education and opportunities as his sons, which was not going to happen in Pakistan. All his daughters got college educations in the US. Her Dad was very forward thinking even for AMERICA during those times.

So you would ban these families from coming to American based solely on the countries they were from?
