Kode--------- unfortunately many of the posters didn't understand the point of your message.
Thru out our history, that group of people(regional or other) that was the predominate influx at the time is who gets the blame for everything.
Yes they can argue the difference is legal versus illegal but they will never accept the simple historical fact that immigrants have always felt the brunt of blame for our problems.
In the 1800s, America needed immigration. Not anymore. We are over-populated now. Different time period, different reasons, different values.
Don't forget that back in he 1750s ol Ben Franklin berated the fact that the southern German coming to Pennsylvania and were loathsome, ignorant people who would destroy the fabric of society.
It is a consistent theme across our history and I'm sure any other history.

What was the point of his message, to embed a private video that none of us can watch?
Conservatives don't want illegal immigrants nor do we want refugees.
We need a secure border, period.
We don't have the resources to take care of our own people, so we don't need to import people to take care of.
Feel free to open up your own homes and wallets if you choose, but don't try to force me to do it.
[quote=Kode;45344753]Whenever the U.S. political system runs into a wall and begins to fall apart as it now is, a strong anti-immigrant sentiment is fostered by underhanded politicians. At the time of Lincoln's nomination for the presidency, those who drove the anti-immigrant frenzy were known as the "know-nothings" because they were a secret society, sworn to secrecy, and if asked whether they knew of or attended any anti-immigrant meetings, they were to reply "I know nothing about that".
Today they don't hide, but with the Republican Party on the verge of collapse, they are easily found.
Sounds more like the Democrats to me. Ever hear them dodging questions during Congressional investigations? They can't answer (won't answer) anything. Hillary is one of the best examples of this "know nothing" tactic, followed by AG Lynch and her predecessor, AG Holder.

This is not about you. Digest the post and you'll notice that the point is that some sort of anti-immigrant sentiment is fostered by some politicians whenever the party system is at risk.
You should watch the video. It's very informative.
