Seriously? Hispanics are becoming major forces in home ownership and car sales. All the dumb-ass white kids are sitting at home in debt after Obama took over student loans and then increased their lending by 44% so the colleges went nuts and raised their tuitions.

It's almost like it was on purpose to inflict as much damage as possible on the white middle class.

And you Democrats want more of this nonsense from Hillary.

Food stamps at an all time high. Thank goodness Obamas recovery worked. Why rely on the very same government that wrecked the economy, to fix it?

That's actually a lie started by Newt Gingrich back in 2012. It actually doubled under Bush II but we can't admit it.

In fact, for the first time in 2012, Hispanics’ college enrollment rate among 18- to 24 year-old high school graduates surpassed that of whites, by 49% to 47%.

In 2012, 49% of Hispanic high school graduates enrolled at a postsecondary, public institution. This percentage surpassed that of white students for the first time, and Hispanic enrollment in colleges and universities, which has increased 240% since 1996, is expected to continue to grow.

This country needs to get it's priorities straight. We need to encourage people to invest in becoming skilled again.
Same around here. Skilled positions going begging for lack of a trained workforce. There are an estimated 3 million positions unfilled because employers can't find qualified people. We need also to stop paying disability to people whose skills have become outdated and start training them instead for the jobs in demand. And we need to move the people to where the jobs are and where possible jobs to where the newly skilled are.

Why do you suppose there was an increase in hiring in that industry?

Could it be that people are eating out more now than previously?

Why would that be?

More disposable income perhaps? More new businesses maybe?

You aren't anti-business, are you OP?

Median family income is still down compared to before the crash ~2008.

There is plenty more disposable income for the top 1%. Gains in leisure categories are not surprising.

My bad should have said at all time high levels
And no it wasn't a lie

As of January 2016, 94 million Americans weren’t participating in the labor force. “But the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) has been hovering around 46 million participants since 2011. The current figure, as of February 2016, stands at 45.8 million Americans receiving food stamps,” notes Kangadis.
According to Bloomberg Business, the last time the unemployment rate was under five percent, which was in 2008, 28 million Americans were on food stamps. That means roughly 19 million more people are using food stamps since 2008.
