There are too many articles to source on this subject. Perhaps you could get your facts straight to. It is quite the conundrum among many political scientist as to why poor whites vote for conservative policy. You get too wrapped up in Democrat or Republican policies. The fact is poor whites are conservative voters and it has gotten them nowhere. I think your use of the adverb and adjective, very recently, is a bit euphemistic.
