Actually, this November you can vote on enforcement of illegal alien issues, by voting for Trump. There has never been another opportunity like this one.

Eliminate all the illegals and the employers will be forced to pay a better wage if they cannot find takers. Guess what! They might have to pay what, in some areas of the country might amount to the same level of minimum wage that the politicians want to enforce. Better that the market dictates the wage than the politicians, in my opinion.

Yeah, that was the irony that you apparently missed.

That's how I see it. I doubt we'd even need a minimum wage if all the legal and illegal immigrants and foreign workers weren't allowed in. The minimum wage is already so low that most employers can't find any decent legal workers that will accept it and pay somewhat above the minimum.

Trump isn't going to do anything he has said. He's an egotist who only wants to win. If he is elected we are doomed because he has no idea how to run a country. It's all about winning for him

But Hillary's promises are gold? She has been caught in so many lies of late, I would much rather put my faith in a non-politician

Before 1986, the OP asks?

The Mexicans did. They just walked across the border and went to work. Mexican immigrants have always done roofing, masonry, landscaping.... whatever.

Immigration reform only means identifying people who want in. But that's lost on the Hysterical Majority. Every time a real discussion is held, they start screaming, "He wants OPEN BORDERS!"

It's nonsense. We allow 1 million legal immigrants every year. Immigration reform, properly done, would mean no change. Still one million a year, just like now. Most from Mexico, just like now.

As of now there is almost no way to get into the US legally unless you are joining a relative or are a refugee. That's a stupid policy and we all see the result.

The hysterical screeching of the send-'em-back, they-done-broke-the-law crowd will result in nothing good. The Wall would result in something very bad.

Some illegal Mexicans perhaps but most who were doing those jobs were American citizens for a fair wage. Illegal Mexicans were mostly picking crops back then not doing jobs that Americans were already doing. Now construction jobs, etc. are flooded with illegal aliens. You are so ill-informed that's it not even funny.

How can you say with a straight face that our immigrants numbers wouldn't increase by allowing these illegals to remain here? Not only would we have the 1 million allowed in here legally but the millions of illegals here also. It's not reform it's amnesty. Did you fail simple math? You also want more to have a path to come here.

There are no hysterics. Our immigration laws dictate that anyone in our country illegally is to be deported. There are good reasons we have policies and quotas in place now and I already stated what they are based on. So, what's stupid about them? How can the wall result in something bad and just what would be bad about it? I already posted two links proving that a wall is a deterrent.

More insults and hysterics. Wow.

But let me take one phrase from your many and address it:
How can you say with a straight face that our immigrants numbers wouldn't increase by allowing these illegals to remain here? Not only would we have the 1 million allowed in here legally but the millions of illegals here also.
I never said illegals should be allowed to remain here.

But here's the thing: How you gonna find all the illegals living here? You gonna just walk up and ask every person in America? Door-to-door? You think they're gonna turn each other in?
Trump's got you believing they can be readily identified in some way. But they can't.

His "policy" is pure nonsense. It's intended as red meat for casual voters.
