To hell with tuition free K-12 as well right? Funny how people from the working class hate taxes but love that taxes make sure they are even employable. You dont want taxes? Be prepared for $40 000 a year in tuition from Kindergarten through high school for every child you have. $6000 a year in tolls per year on every road you drive on as taxes and public funding is slashed for roads.
Privatized police and fire department protection? Several thousands for that as well of course. And be prepared for hundreds of thousands in costs as you get older and Medicare is handed over to Wall Street. Lets see how much you like taxes getting slashed to the bone and everything is paid for out of pocket.
Clinton strikes me as someone who will say anything to get more votes, so I doubt she really intends to follow through with this plan.
There is in Germany, the country in Europe with the best universities.
Not just free tuition for German students but for foreign students as well, amazingly enough.
While the cost of college education in the US has reached record highs, Germany has abandoned tuition fees altogether for German and international students alike. An increasing number of Americans are taking advantage and saving tens of thousands of dollars to get their degrees
While an increasing number of Classes in Masters Programs are taught in English, that's not the case at the undergrad level.
The typical entering first year student at a US school is immature and seems to require on campus housing/ meals and administrative hand holding which is typically not available in Europe.
Students, especially foreign students, at the undergrad level in Germany are expected to complete their degree in 3 years, yet Germany uses a baseline of 8 years to measure graduation rates
In contrast, with the exception of highly selective US schools, most US students do not obtain a degree within 6 years. It likely has more to do with the student's lack of self discipline and maturity than finances.

Nope, huge numbers of working class folks who do well in high school dont have a chance of getting a scholarship that make tuition free. And the GOP wants to gut any help like scholarships and Pell Grants for the working class kids. Higher education is supposed to be for the rich kids slackers. Their parents not only pay for tuition of course, but also for the campaigns of members of Congress. They want a return on their investment which means making higher education only affordable for the donor class.
oh please
there are millions of scholarships out there, and if you do well in primary school, (and apply for them) they are available...especially to the middleclass, workingclass, and people within poverty
They can afford to go. That's just a fact. They might have 5 or 10 years of debt to pay off after going, but the extra money they can make will easily cover those payments.
Envious whining won't give your invalid argument any merit.
Nonsense. Lots of people cant go to college at these prices who could have gone. The country lose out of course. And you want to eliminate all scholarships as well of course in order to turn America into a third world country to ensure that only the rich slackers can go to college like we see in societies where the government ignores the 99% and serve the 1% which is what you are advocating.
Its amazing how many countries offer their students literally free education...an educated populace goes to work and each generation is more educated than the last. Disgusting to think you must pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to get an education. Its not enough to make me vote for Clinton but I agree we need a different system put in place. I will push my kids to look at Europe for college.
It's only free there for the top 20% or so...basically the kids of the elite and wealthier families. The others got tracked towards trade jobs and so forth.
Here in the states if you are a top 20% student from a lower income household you can go to school close to free as long as you go someplace relatively affordable.
Middle of the road students from more middle class and upper middle class households are the ones with the biggest college debt challenges. These kids weren't going to get "free college" in Europe either.

You need to clarify. Are you claiming they can't afford college or there is t room for them in college?

This is just a lie. Why do you lie?
Anyone can go to college tuition free in Europe as long as you graduate high school. There are lots of open seats available at various programs in countless universities. Highly selective programs like law or medicine have far more applicants than seats of course so you have to be a top student to get admitted.
