What bothers me is the NFL has threatened to fine those NFL players who wore a tribute to 9/11. Seems like they taking the anti-American side. I will stick to college football this year. Besides when my Chiefs are on.
You likely don't know anything about the song, other than your programming that you need to act reverent when ever it is played. You don't know why, you just know you should. So you do, like a little wooden soldier.
Patriotism is not standing for a song. To most conservatives, that's all that is required.
Hey! If that flag or Anthem offends you... I'll help you pack.
The National Anthem should be played while the players are still in their locker rooms. Thereby taking away their grand standing opportunity.
When I pay the price of admission to an NFL game, I want to view bone crunching tackling during the game. I don't want to watch a few morons vent their political views.
Same thing with attending concerts. I paid to hear you sing, not to go off on some political rant.
Plenty of ways for these millionaires to protest I don't need the lazy jerks to throw their politics in my face when I am the paying customer. If any of them really cared they would be doing something other than kneeling during a song. Oh yeah way to make a difference.
Let's be real here... You would complain about them protesting no matter how they did it.
i can understand not standing because you lazy or dont agree with it but to claim a cop out, that you are protesting something that will have no effect on what you doing, basically its all about them, their little ego trip.
yes i understand that the anthem and the pledge are basically brainwashing to believe in something, but a protest, yes im protesting that mcdonald did not give me hot fries
When you're paying big bucks to watch a team making millions off the average person, I don't feel it is the right place to express yourself and show disrespect to the men and women who died for them and this country. Instead why don't they take some of those millions and do some good: get rid of the gangs, educate the street kids, help families get jobs and off welfare, etc. instead of the irresponsible way they are expressing themselves.
I think you are just envious of what the players make. Some people have to work harder.
