Um, today's athletes are bigger, stronger, faster and better then ever.

So? The NFL is still getting wussier and feminized.

I didn't know American football was a liberal thing, but all rightly then.

They can't modify the uniform. Period. Not a new rule.

Can you imagine the slogans they's write on their helmets if they were allowed to do so?

What needs to happen is have the owners take a stand against political protests in NFL games. This is a sport, and a game, and not the right platform for expressing your views on the country, the flag, or your perceived injustices.

If any of us did that at our jobs we would be fired. We get paid to work, not express our views. It's the same in the NFL. These guys get paid to play. Period. If they want to have an opinion, fine. Do it on your Facebook page. Fans watch football for entertainment, not political opinions by overpaid athletes.

Maybe it will take sponsors pulling back when enough consumers complain about this nonsense. Hitting the owners and the NFL in the collective wallets will put a stop to this crap right away.

You say it's political which IMO is a part of the problem. I say it's a protest over the stomping of the people's civil rights.

A vast generalization. People express their views at work all the time.

Time to Choose
When the other choice is repealing the First Amendment, I'll take the raised fists.

How is this an issue of "liberal tolerance?" Do you get off to making **** up? Do you enjoy lying to people? I hope your a good Christian based only off of what your religion says happens to liars.

The player in question is facing a potential fine because the league has rules on what cleats can and can't be worn. It has little to do with the cleats being a 9/11 tribute. Their aren't league regulation cleats so they aren't allowed.

Seriously, your blatant misrepresenting of the situation is telling of the kind of person you are. And if it's not clear, it shows that you are a terrible person, blinded by your own political feelings to the point where you have nothing but contempt for people who don't share a political view with you because you lack the humility and decency to accept that there are people who aren't you.
