^indeed.

Then followed by Bush 1 who did the cert onions signing, subject to approval by Congress. Had he won reelection, there is no doubt he would have signed it, chop- chop.

Newt was the crusader for NAFTA. A Republican Majority approved it and Clinton signed it into law.

That he/ family have chosen to not walk the talk associated with a key campaign issue is beyond curious and frankly there is no excuse for this.
The factories are gone and the clothing industry has practically died here. It is just about dead.. In my area in NJ there were factories making clothes in many towns .

I remember the unions were fighting for the workers .. look for the Union label .. made here.

Bad timing indeed for Obama and Clinton. Clinton was promising to create jobs here in America. Trump will pounce on this!

Because he's a ****** pulling a fast one on desperate people in bad shape. Trump knows a good con when he sees one. Elect this guy and he's going to end up governing like a traditional big government liberal.

Unions are a major factor behind why manufacturing left the US. A union autoworker makes roughly $29/hour on average here in the US, down in Mexico they only make about $4/hour on average. Now time and again the management tries to compromise with the unions and the unions just want more, more, more. Eventually it becomes unsustainable (especially in high cost of living/doing business areas) and they leave for greener pastures. It's called capitalism.

The cost of doing business with unionized labor here in the US of A is too damn high. That's why much of what manufacturing that is left went to Southern states (which usually don't allow unions or strictly control their powers) or to territories like Puerto Rico or the Northern Mariana Islands (which have much lower costs of living than the mainland states).

Few complain when Wall Street want's "more, more, more". Today $29 an hour isn't outrageous. It puts you middle class/lower middle class. Without a strong middle class, no one is going to buy new Fords no matter where they are produced.

I personally don't want to spend extra money so factory workers in the Rust Belt can keep their jobs and overinflated paychecks. If an uneducated person living in a third world country can do your job, that should be a clear sign that you need to obtain more education and new job skills. If anyone is stupid enough to skip out on educating themselves and not prepare for careers that can't be done by third world peasants, they deserve little sympathy. Just because some people believe that Americans have a divine right to earn 60k a year putting cars together in a factory does not mean that other Americans need to pay for it.

That's a lie and a scam we have been fed. They may initially seem a little cheaper but first of all you are not adding in all costs to these lost jobs. You are not figuring in your added costs for food stamps for the unemployed. You are not adding in your higher medical costs for the uninsured.

On top of that the costs continue to rise as soon as the competition is eliminated. I've noted this before.....I went shoe shopping with the wife. I saw a pair of plastic women's shoes......made in China. $50. There is NO way we can not profitably make plastic shoes here for $50.

You don't add in that a refrigerator made in the USA once had 5 year warranties. Now the made in China ones are 6 months.

What new one? The call center selling scam warranties?

Duh!

Trump manufactures overseas because the Us tax climate is unfavorable to business.

Companies aren't coming back until the tax structure is more favorable, something Trump intends to make happen.

Blame who you want but Americans will keep buying Ford products. You cast your vote for this action with every purchase of products made outside the US.
It was Clinton who put NAFTA through but Americans made it work by buying the foreign made products.
Look to your closet full of clothes made in China, electronics from Korea, cars made in Japan, and you will see where your jobs went.
