Nah, in Islam the animals are sacrificed, but they're eaten. The blood & entrails may be discarded, but the meat goes to the owners, family & friends, & people who can't afford to sacrifice animals. & there are rules for which animals are acceptable, & what condition they have to be in.

Don't confuse the issue with facts - they are looked poorly upon in this forum.
Meanwhile, I challenge all the people spewing venom about the specific evils of Islam to go look at your sacred and infinitely correct (because it says so!) Bible and find all the verses in that involve God's chosen people sacrificing animals. I'll wait... you'll be there a while. In the meanwhile, you can enjoy a hamburger, which I'm totally sure did not come from a living animal, nor was there any blood or death involved. Maybe mechanizing the killing and removing the human element so there's no understanding at all of the animal's sacrifice is a holier path? Eat up!

"Yet, must the nation continue to suffer fear and grief year after year, or can it surmount the tragedy and turn it into a tool of unity? The overwhelming majority of Muslims, including Muslim Americans, condemn violence, extremism and terrorism in all its forms. Why should they continue to bear the burden of guilt by association? Terrorists and extremists hiding under the cloaks of religion don't represent the majority of Muslims, Christians, Jews or any other people of faith. Terrorists are mutations of the religious traditions they claim to represent." Saved by the moon, Muslims won't celebrate Abraham's sacrifice on 9/11 | Dallas Morning News
