Mexico is building a wall to protect their country. This isn't in line with Hillary's policy of open borders yet she hasn't commented as today was her first day back after a taking a week off.

Misleading title. This article says that a loud minority want to build a wall, not that they are currently building a wall.

Only white Americans can be racist.

Well, at least that is always implied.

And the relationship between Mexico and its southern neighbors is something we should care about... Why?

Sort of like Obama telling Turkey to complete it's wall on its southern border and Democrats pretending it never happened.

Actually, the greatest source of illegal immigrants these days is from South of Mexico. Mexico itself has net-zero in-out from the US. They have been reaping the benefits of NAFTA for a while now and their economy is a powerhouse compared to many other places in Latin America (owing in no small part to their proximity to the US).

Anyway, the people are streaming in from Guatemala, Honduras, etc. It's a lot easier to secure Mexico's southern border than the Rio Grande.

The US should work with Mexico to secure that border to stem the flow of illegal immigrants - which Mexico ALSO has a huge problem with and reacts very harshly toward when they are on the receiving end of it.
