Yeah, pretty much. Free speech is fine if you're anti-America or complaining about America, but as soon as a kid shows up with a Pro 2A shirt, then they are forced to go home and change or be suspended. So much for free speech

It is in vogue to be anti-American and express thoughts which defy any rational sentiments.
It is the era of liberalism- insanity and opposition to reason is the order of the day. It is akin to a child's game of "opposite day".
If liberalism persists, it will lead to the balkanization of the US.
No wonder your schools are so low in the academic scale world wide and you spent 20X more per student than the closets spent elsewhere in the world.
There is a reason kids out of college and those that didn't want to go to college are not finding the work. They do not know how to work well with others.

Are you saying kids don't get jobs until they are out of school? Most kids have jobs after school as soon as they are old enough. Don't waste valuable time of teachers to teach your kids how to work well with others. That's your job. Don't have kids if you expect teachers to raise them.

Tell that to your boss all high and mighty.
If your boss is worth his or her salt your performance reviews will be based on your...well, job performance. Not your political views. Unless, of course, you are working for a political campaign or something of that nature.
If the students actively expressed themselves by sitting for the anthem then they participated.
