Would anyone who is divorced want their records made available to the pubic? A lot of things a "fair game," I don't believe the divorce records are.

His ex recanted her story, so it is not relevant. Even if the records were opened, no rational person could accept the rape allegations as fact since she recanted. If anyone wants to believe the rape happened then they would have to presume that Ivanka is lying now, but if she is assumed to be lying then her credibility is suspect and we can't know what she was lying about back then. After all, if we assume she is lying now, then we have to assume she is a liar and could have lied back then.

The only reason to open the divorce record is to use it as political ammunition and to try and smear Donald's name and reputation. What could have possibly happened during the marriage or divorce that reflects his ability to be president? Seriously, if people can't attack his policies or his condpiracy beliefs, and need to go after his reputation, then they are a weak person.

Tax records have been provided for many decades, its only recently that insanely wealthy people have decided that running things from the background is no longer sufficient, and they would like to grab the reins of power.
Would love to see the taxes for the Clinton Foundation, why not ask for this hidden $$$$?

I can't stand Donald Trump and hope he loses by a landslide. If both parties of the Trump divorce don't want the records unsealed they should remain sealed. Period. I hate reality TV politics.

Kind of funny the side that has pushed single motherhood, affairs, divorce, porn, fathers not being held accountable, now want a Trump and Ivana to be held accountable for a failed marriage.......the hypocrisy of it all!

Who thinks the divorce records are relevant to Trump's candidacy? If so, why?

I think it would be a gross invasion of Ivana's privacy and she isn't running. Also, is there nothing private if one runs for this office? If nothing is private, it is no wonder none but the most narcissistic would offer his/her family as sacrificial lambs to the press for slaughter and roasting in public...

Donald and Ivana Trump: Don

Def something real weird going on here: it's like Ivana's to Trump like Bill's to Hillary.
The transcripts of their divorce and specifically her testimony about domestic violence and abuse were front page news in the NYC tabloids , for years.

I can recall one alleged incident that occurred immediately following Donald getting hair plugs and going on a rampage, pulling fistfuls of Ivana's hair out.

The whole ordeal was a she said/ he said. The divorce settlement put a gag order in place. She has neither denied or confirmed all of her prior testimony.

No reason to unseal anything. It's all in the newspapers 25 years ago.

This is right up there with Internet allegations that Michele Obama is really a man and the daughters are not their biological offspring.

People believe anything when it seems to validate their perceptions.

It's funny some here are attacking Trump on this while ignoring Bill's charges of rape and multiple sexual harassment/assault.

Rather fascinating that the husband of a nominee and a nominee have both been alleged to be rapists, well before running for POTUS.

In a country of 320 million, and this is our choice. Boggles the mind.

Not voting for either of them and it has nothing to do with rape allegations.
