I didn't think it was that bad up there. At least one homicide every day for a year and a half. Amazing.

Many of those murders are in 2 parts of town, the Southside and the Westside. So for the people in other areas far away from it, it probably doesnt concern them as much, because they just stay away from those areas. Just like where ever you live probably has a rough area and you avoid it, if you have no purpose being there.
If these murders start spilling over into the Northside all the time, Chicago would do something about it much more aggressively than they are now in the poor areas of the Southside.
When it comes to gang violence, its not much you can really do, unless you take out the gangs somehow. Its way too many gunson t streets and way too many people with no hope and when a man has no hope or no job, they turn to stealing or other forms of crime to get what they want.

So far this year they have already surpassed the homicides for the entire year of 2015 by 39 with more than three months left. At current rates, they will likely exceed 725 for 2016.

First they lie. We are not at historical lows. We were at recent historic lows until liberals came to fix it. Then they might do something like pick the worst year at the height of the prohibition wars, all while appealing to old time nostalgia.
The year isn't even over and we have blown past previous years in recent memory.
Another thing leftists like to do is not go into specifics, and just sort of let it muddle together when it suits them. There is no mystery as to why violence was caused in Chicago in 1928 . It was a policy of prohibition.

Uh; guns don't kill people, it's people killing people. I'm in Arizona and; this state's loaded with all kinds of guns but; our murder rate ain't a thing like Chicago.
