But maybe in a few years when Obamacare fully looses its power as a political weapon, then republicans will pass some laws to stop Obamacare from hurting Americans (but they will be too busy working on corporate tax cuts, corporate deregulation, and setting fire to their next political weapon.)
Obamacare Losing Power as Campaign Weapon in Ad Battles - Bloomberg

Republicans cry "Obamacare", but they do nothing to fix it.

Republicans cry "Welfare", but they do nothing to fix it.

Republicans cry "Liberals want to take your guns", and while they cry gun owners all over America are loosing their gun rights, and republicans do no negotiations to stop it.
More Than Half of Americans Now Have Tougher Gun Laws | Mother Jones

But if republicans in Washington fixed those problems, then republican politicians would loose their best soundbites that get corporate republicans elected into Washington.

Its just like republican politicians crying "God and prayer", and then leaving all philosophies of helping the poor, loving everyone, and peace on the campaign trail. Most of the republicans talk is nothing but empty soundbites used to win elections and gain supporters.

Sorry Dems, you are the Captain of that ship...

They locked out the Republicans when they passed it - literally, they locked the doors.

The only reason they want Republicans to help "fix it" is so they can offload the blame.

The pubs should simply ignore them and let it implode. Then say "we told you so" and FORCE the Dems to cross the aisle and actually work with them. The first thing would be to gut ACA, reset the entire HC system, and make ALL insurance plans portable. This would drive prices down.

WTF! You blame Republicans for not fixing something they didn't legislate? Can you not even bring yourself to blame the ones who authored and passed a failing bill, simply because they have a big fat D behind their names? D stands for Dumb as far as I'm concerned.

I swear the idiocy of the left has no limits.

Both parties are just acting like they give a crap, when they really do not. But, you can't blame the right for every frikkin thing the left screws up. STOP blaming everyone else.

Obama is just fiddling while his hot mess burns. Dems and establishment Pubs are stupid enough to want even more of a mess. Socialists and communists are salivating at the possible demise of the US. Yay

Exactly MAM. The Dems wanted to get a major reform started so it could be updated and improved as time went on, but that doesn't give the Repubs enough opportunity to vilify the Dems, so the Repubs pretend that it is a "given" that such a huge bill should be perfect right out of the box and never require any stinkin' update. How nice for them. Except they again show how out of touch with reality they are.

The republicans have obstructed everything they could and only would call for a complete repeal of Obamacare rather than working together to improve it. Why is that?

Oh yeah, they wanted to make Obama a one-term, do-nothing president. And they were willing to sell the nation down the river to do it. Plenty of patriotism there.

Sounds reasonable. FYI, the picture does not match the article (which describes the situation in a reasonable manner). It (the program) needs some modifications. That is to be expected. Thanks for the article.

Actually he has been a 2 term do-nothing President with a feckless foreign policy, dismantled defense, treated vets like garbage, tried to print us out of a recession (slowest recover in history) and spent $5T more than what GWB spent ...didn't he call that unpatriotic? Why, yes he did! So by his own words "he is unpatriotic" and a do-nothing President. But hey, he's black so it's all good, and anyone who can't appreciate that is a racist.

Like I said, you only see things the way you wish things were. In your and other liberals own words you "want Republicans to FIX ACA" after the way the majority Dems treated them like so much garbage. If they had succeeded in blocking (you call it obstructionism which is how our government is supposed to work) the bill we wouldn't have an even bigger mess than before it was passed.

By your own link it shows that ACA was passed by the House and Senate majorities (DEMS and DEMS ALONE) which didn't end until 2011.

If somebody locked you out of a vote and totally ignored your warnings, only to then scream "you have to fix it!" I know exactly what you'd say.

But go ahead and keep being a dishonest partisan who seemingly knows nothing about how the government actually works.

When you have a single party in power this is the kind of crap legislation you'll get, EVERY TIME!

...AND BTW, it has been the Dems who are the obstructionists for the last 5 years, but I'm sure that's just fine.

Again:
So sick of this "my side is always right and the other side is always wrong" nonsense!

It only shows how intolerant the herd has become. Say MOO friend!
