Key members of the New Jersey Assembly have begun researching whether or not to bring articles of impeachment against Gov. Chris Christie, NBC 4 New York has learned.

This follows early testimony in the George Washington Bridge scandal trial, which some Assembly members believe shows the Republican governor had more knowledge of the lane closures in Fort Lee during and after that week in 2013 then he has led the public to believe.

Could be a bit awkward if they play the clip of Donnie saying "Of course he knew!" as part of the case against him.

Would make my day. The guy is done either way. No way he gets confirmed to any political appointment and I don't think that even New Jersey would vote for him again.

NJ has such a great record for governors. First it was Mr. Corzine and the missing billion dollars, now Christie. Cant wait to see the next gem bestowed upon the Garden State.

The left are so desperate. A bridge closing.. big whoop. Laughable. They close roads all the time in NJ.. for a tiny patch they close the lane off and you wait an hour .

Benghazi is ancient news, but Bridgegate will live in infamy.

The right is so pathetic. They think shutting down the busiest bridge in the world, and and risking the life and safety of local residents and law enforcement if an ambulance couldn't get somewhere quickly enough, all out of political retaliation against a mayor of the other party who refused to endorse you, is no big deal.

Funny how incensed they get over lies about Hillary Clinton yet the truth about one of their own is meaningless.

This goes both ways but most certainly a deserved knock here on those who still support Christie. This was nothing more than a political vendetta carried about by the very likes of someone who does not deserve to hold a public office.

please don't hold your breath; you know good and well, it isn't going to happen. Wishful thinking isn't the same as fact. Anything is possible. I could hit the lottery tomorrow if I played it, but I know it won't happen.

Every day you find something to post that is negative against someone on the right; especially if that person has any connection with Trump. 99% of what you post is simply hearsay from stupid blogs and yes, facebook. How many ways are there to spell: running scared your candidate is in trouble?

This is the "Elections" area of C-D, and I could not find what office Chris Christie is running for.

OP, the GOP has made their nomination and Trump was selected out of the 17 that were running.

This appears to really pertain more to people from NJ. Do we have anyone here from there?
