Pretty soon, we'll all be working for minimum wages and no benefits.

Accountants can be eliminated with accounting software.

Our grandchildren will be competing against workers that work for 30 cents an hour, well, many here are already doing that and it will continue IF we allow globalsim to move forward. Globalism must be stopped in order that we still have a country in 25 years!

What we can look forward to if we continue on the path that Obama has put us on:

When and Why Nationalism Beats Globalism - The American Interest

20 Reasons Globalization is Wrong for America | Truth is Treason | Truth is Treason

The Negative Effects of Globalization in America

Think about the future of our country under globalism and see how many good jobs do you think the future holds. How many have already went to countries where the people work for much lower wages, send the inferior products back and we have nothing else to buy. When there were good jobs here, people could afford to pay more for better US made products, I lived it! I saw the good jobs drained from our country over the years.

When we take everything we have and everything we and our ancestors have worked for and spread that to nations where the people have not made the effort, we all end up with less. Since ObamaCareNot, we don't need that many medical personnel as here, many clinics and even hospitals have closed as the reimbursements, if and when they come, don't allow the doors to stay open. And, we can bring in a foreign doctor on a Visa and they'll work cheaper and not challenge the system. The same with teachers, foreign workers are coming in, so forget about that career field.

One in every eight white collar jobs are now held by an illegal alien and once the floodgates are open, the competition for jobs tightens even more.

Maybe it is time to look 25 years ahead before going to the polls in November as this is probably the most important election ever held in our country.

That's why some people are pushing for a Universal Basic Income. People won't have jobs but will have a source of income.

You'll have groups of people with no work or useful way to spend their days but with some funds thanks to UBI.

If you think crime is climbing now, just wait. Most of America will be looking like Detroit.

I don't mean to offend anybody, but I really don't know how can clear thinking, intelligent cd posters vote for the donkeys. It is not about race, it is not about white people vs minorities. It is about globalization replacing the middle class.

While the manufacturing sector tends to create good jobs at every employment level, the service sector tends to create a relatively small number of high-skill, high-paying jobs (in fields like finance, consulting, and medicine) along with a large number of low-skill, low-paid jobs (in retailing, child care, and hospitality). The result is that secure, semiskilled middle-income jobs like those that once fueled the rapid expansion of the American middle class are increasingly hard to find.

With the rise of neoliberalism, the ethic of sharing risk among workers, employers, and the federal government that emerged after the New Deal was replaced by an aggressively free-market approach that pushed deregulation and privatization in order to minimize the role of government in economic life.

Like or hate Him, Mr. Donald Trump is right about terrible trade deals, and our shrinking middle class.

Something need to be done, and neither party seems to care.

Think about the ridiculous political claims, "illegals benefit the economy." LOL Political competence is about knowing how to map the political terrain, get others on your side, lead coalitions.

awful.

So where does the UBI come from with so few people working? It sounds like welfare and we, the working, cannot carry many more. Amnesty for illegal aliens is going to run us $6.3 trillion, each Syrian refugee, $65,000 for their resettlement. We are taking on dead weight as we have less people working for less money.

You can't create income out of thin air. Where does the UBI come from?

It depends, if the US continues this politics of resentment we will. Fact is eventually the economy will have no middle class. You will have the ultra rich, a working class, and a permanent unemployable class. Will the working class and poor have health care ? If society is progressive and inclusivs, society can be filled with people who spend a greater period of time in college or performing social programs to employ the unemployed. Most people will have to receive payments in. Universal manner.
