Because in some nations the police are aligned with the drug dealers who are killing innocent civilians.

Sadly not surprising though, and really quite concerning for anyone who cares about due process and the rule of law.

You guys would fit in well in the various brutal rights-free countries.

However 76 percent of Filipinos polled by Social Weather Stations said they were “satisfied” with Duterte’s performance, with just 11 percent reporting being “dissatisfied” and the rest undecided
7 satisfied for every 1 unsatisfied. Has a American President ever had those numbers?

The police are executing drug users who have not been found guilty of anything else. According to Trump that is the best way to deal with it, and apparently you agree with that.

Is Trump recommending we do that here?

I suggest googling "Manila before and after Duterte " you might understand why Duterte has an approval rating over 75%

I suggest we stop assuming every nation is like ours. That is why so many solders have died in the ME.

He said it is the best way to handle it. Will he settle for a solution which he considers a worse way?

Of course he won't do it here, because he'd end up in prison, or even death row. Most likely he will put an end to legal pot, and jail as many users as he can.

Gee, don't know where you got that from. I expect Trump could care less about marijuana use.

If anything he is pretty liberal on the issue.

Trump, unlike Odummy, realizes that we need good relations with the Philippines. Trump gets an A, Obama gets an F.

Is that why he chose a sworn anti-legalization AG?
